Sport Karate

Competitive Karate

Sport Karate is a competitive version of Karate that has been adapted for tournaments. It is characterized by its focus on speed, power, and technique, and it often involves sparring with protective gear.
In Sport Karate, points are awarded for successful strikes, kicks, and other techniques, and the goal is to score more points than one's opponent. Sport Karate is often more fast-paced and action-packed than Traditional Karate, and it is typically practised for the purpose of competition rather than self-defence. Sport Karate participated at the Tokyo Olympic Games, Japan in 2021.
